About Writer/Producer: Michael J. O'Hara

Michael J. O’Hara teamed with Nashville’s acclaimed writer/producer, Robert White Johnson, to co-write the new musical play, “Isle of Dreams The Musical.” This extraordinary musical labor of love has completely captivated the imaginations of the entertainment industry! Performing for the New York Theatre Guild as well as feature presentations at St. Louis’ legendary Powell Symphony Hall and Branson Theater Stages has earned them respect and backing of worldwide conglomerate.

A native of St. Louis, Michael O’Hara dates the beginning of his career back to age six when he wrote his first song on his parent’s new Christmas piano. Singing and writing throughout grade school and performing for his father‘s Baptist church among many other organizations. O’Hara honed his skills, forming a rather successful regional rock band called, “The Sheiks,” and moved to New Orleans in 1979. “The Sheiks” have opened for legendary artists such as “The Rolling Stones,” “The Who,” “The Police,” “Chaka Kahn,” “Huey Lewis and The News,” “Peter Gabrielle” and many others.
